Due to a shortage of infant and children’s acetaminophen (Tylenol®) and ibuprofen (Advil®) liquid and chewable tablets, parents may consider splitting and/or crushing adult tablets and mixing with a small amount of juice, apple sauce, or pudding for use. Note that any extended-release products that are dosed every 8 hours or more (i.e. Tylenol Arthritis®) should NOT be crushed or given to children.
If you are coming to the emergency department, care is prioritized based on need and the team will see you as soon as possible; be prepared to wait if your issue is not urgent. Please be patient and kind with our team members.
