The Palmerston and District Hospital Auxiliary raise funds to purchase equipment and fund other projects essential to patient welfare at their respective hospital sites.
Auxiliary members staff the gift shop and provide tray favours for hospital patients and hospital tours. Palmerston and District Hospital Auxiliary has taken on a new initiative and have trained some members to be representatives for the Lifeline Home Service which generates revenue for the Palmerston and District Hospital.
The Palmerston and District Hospital Auxiliary also conducts fundraising events throughout the year including:
- May Raffle - This year tickets will be sold on a gorgeous quilt donated by the Community Quilters, located in Palmerston.
- June Luncheon - the auxiliary hosts a "P.D.H. Retirees' Luncheon for any staff who has retired from the P.D.H.
- Annual Christmas Bazaar - will be held in November - keep tuned for more information.
- Lights for Life - will be held in November - keep tuned for more information.
