Waterloo Wellington's hospitals are proud to be part of the province-wide patient safety indicator reporting lead by the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care. The first indicator that was reported during the summer of 2008 was the rate of C. difficile acquired in hospitals. The next indicator is the rate of Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Vancomycin resistant enterococcus (VRE) bacteremia.
