North Wellington Health Care has two exciting building projects on the go.
The Minto Rural Health Centre will be an 11,000 sqft medical arts building and is located on the Palmerston and District Hospital front lawn. The building will house a number of key community partners in the delivery of health services to area residents. This includes Family Physicians, the Minto Mapleton Famiily Health Team, Canadian Mental Health Association and the Waterloo Wellington Community Care Access Centre. Construction of the building will be completed by the end of this calendar year.
The Louise Marshall Hospital (LMH) Emergency Department (ED) and Ambulatory Care Redevelopment plans are well underway. Staff are working with the Ministry of Health and Long-term Care to plan for the much needed expansion.
